When does AION 2 Global launch?
The public Global Windows PC launch is October 5, 2026. Advanced Access began September 30 for eligible Founder’s Pack owners.
Is AION 2 free to play?
Yes. The base game is free to play, with optional cosmetics, passes and membership features.
Is the Global version on mobile?
No Global mobile client is officially supported. Global is a Windows PC service through Steam and PURPLE.
Is AION 2 coming to PS5 or Xbox?
No console release is confirmed in the Global launch information used by this site.
Do Steam and PURPLE use different servers?
No. The official Launch FAQ says both launchers use the same Global content and servers.
Do I need a PURPLE account to play on Steam?
Steam can be used without linking PURPLE. Linking is needed when you want to share character progress between the two launchers.
Does Korea or Taiwan progress carry over?
No. Progress from the Korea or Taiwan services does not carry into Global.
Which server regions are available?
The official FAQ lists North America, South America, Europe and Japan.
Does AION 2 support controllers?
The game is described as playable with a controller, but controller support is not officially provided.
Does AION 2 support Steam Deck or Linux?
The official Global FAQ supports Windows only and does not provide official Linux or Steam Deck support.
How much storage does it need?
The official Steam specification lists 100 GB and recommends an SSD.
How many Global classes are there?
The Global launch presentation includes eight classes. Regional additions are not assumed to be available globally.
