Before you install

The Global release runs through Steam and PURPLE. Both versions use the same in-game content and servers. Steam can be used without linking a PURPLE account, while linking is needed when you want the same character progress available through both launchers.

  • Choose the server region closest to your location
  • Allow at least 100 GB of storage and prefer an SSD
  • Use Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit with DirectX 12

Choose a class by responsibility

AION 2 uses recognizable tank, damage, healing and support responsibilities. Start from the activity you want to perform in a group, then choose the class whose combat style you actually enjoy.

  • Templar for a tank-first identity
  • Cleric for healing
  • Chanter for hybrid support
  • Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer and Spiritmaster for different damage styles

Keep Global and regional advice separate

Korea and Taiwan guides are useful leads, but their balance, available classes, economy and service rules may differ. Look for a Global version label and verification date before following a build or spending guide.
